Portia Dee, a former VH1 reality TV personality turned singer/songwriter, releases new single “Ooh La La” on iTunes. “Ooh La La” is the second single off her upcoming self-titled album, which will be released in the first quarter of 2012. The album is a blend of upbeat pop ballads and club hits, which are sure to make waves throughout the nightclub dance scene in the U.S.
Portia Dee is a Los Angeles based pop singer whose music is already generating a fan base within the clubbing masses and dance music lovers. Portia made her television debut as “Smokey” on the VH1 reality TV show, “Flavor of Love,” in 2008. The show was a part of VH1’s celebrity lineup, and its format was similar to that of ABCs “The Bachelor,” twenty women were chosen to live under the same roof while competing for Flavor Flav’s heart.
When Portia signed on to be a part of the show, she had no intention of winning the heart of rapper Flavor Flav, but she definitely wanted the experience. While on the show, she never became too involved in the drama within the house, she took this time to reflect on herself, and to educate herself on the behind the scenes of show business. During this time is when she realized that while being on television is fun, her passion was singing, and recording music that made people feel good. Once she left the show, she decided to dedicate her sole energy on making her dream come true. She has since then been working on putting together her first album, a self titled upbeat collection of dance hits.
The first single off the album is titled “Ooh La La” and it is now available on iTunes for download.
